Accurately count and profile all walk-ins

Overview

Accurately count:

  • Detect all walk-ins.
  • Eliminate duplicate counts - when the same person re-appears in field of view after having lost sight due to occlusion, temporary exit and re-entry.
  • Sharply define entrances and exclude footfalls who are outside an open area or glass wall and visible to the camera.
  • Exclude employees/ staff to ensure only visitors/ customers are accurately counted.

Profile each walk-in:

  • Determine gender.
  • Classify by age group (infant, child, young, mid, old).
  • Determine predominant color of clothing worn.
  • Record facial attributes such as eye wear, bald, headgear, etc.
  • Determine if walk-in is part of groups and determine group size.

Count number of visitors into a variety of high footfall establishments - retail stores, malls, airports, hotels, hospitals, museums, theme parks, resorts, restaurants, offices etc.


Understand footfall patterns across time of day, days of week etc. Ensure staffing levels correspond to the footfalls. Understand group behavior - how many walk-ins are single, part of groups of size 2, 3, etc. Correlate footfalls with specific campaigns - determine if campaign was effective in attracting the relevant walk-in profiles. Use walk-in profiles/ attributes to detect customer trends. Determine footfalls in different zones and understand high/ low footfall areas.


Audience Metrics

Compare relative attractiveness of exhibits and products

Overview

  • Determine opportunity to see - how many people were present in the vicinity of the exhibit/ product - based on human body detection and without requiring the person to face the camera.
  • Determine how many people faced and saw the exhibit. Accurately track eyes and count gaze time for each person - the amount of time spent watching the exhibit/ product.
  • Determine the emotion of the person when watching the exhibit.

Enhance effectiveness of digital signage.

Count people with opportunity to see, determine patterns by time of day and day of week. Determine conversion from opportunity to see to people who actually viewed the signage. Understand the profile of the audience who viewed the signage - gender, age, facial attributes.
